Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026
Last updated: August 13, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how DNA Technology Group LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use MySafeMenu, our website, and related services.
Information we collect
Depending on the features you choose, we collect account identifiers and credentials, your name or email address when supplied by Apple or Google, allergy profiles and notes you create, restaurant requests, reviews, issue reports, blocked-user choices, and the restaurants you open. Restaurant requests may include a location or website that you enter. If a future app version asks for device location and you grant permission, we may also process precise or approximate location to show nearby restaurants.
How we use information
We use this information for app functionality: authenticating accounts, syncing allergy profiles, personalizing allergen results, providing restaurant search, publishing approved reviews, processing requests and reports, enforcing blocks, moderating abuse, securing and maintaining the service, responding to support, and complying with legal obligations. We do not use this information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell personal information.
Location
The current release allows restaurant search without device-location access. If location search is enabled in a future release, MySafeMenu will request permission before using device location, use it only to return nearby restaurants, and continue to provide manual search when permission is declined. You can withdraw location permission in iOS Settings.
Service providers and sharing
We use Amazon Web Services and AWS Amplify for authentication, databases, storage, search, and server operations; Apple and Google when you choose their sign-in services; Google Places when you search for a restaurant to request; Vercel for website hosting; and Discord for private moderation notifications about submitted requests and reports. Providers receive only the information needed to perform those services and must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to continued privacy protections.
Retention and security
Account and allergy-profile information is retained while your account remains active. Requests, reports, reviews, and moderation records are retained while needed to provide and protect the community features, unless you delete your account or law requires a longer period. Short-lived operational logs may be retained under our providers’ security and reliability schedules. We use access controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, and least-privilege authorization designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can use the catalog as a guest, change app permissions in iOS Settings, remove individual allergy profiles, report or block community content, sign out, and permanently delete your account from Account settings in the app. Account deletion removes associated user content unless retention is legally required. You can also revoke Apple or Google account access through the applicable provider settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.
Health information
Allergy profiles are user-provided health information. We use them only to personalize app functionality and sync profiles you choose to save. We do not use allergy information for advertising, sell it, or share it with data brokers.
Children
MySafeMenu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the date above. Questions, access requests, corrections, privacy objections, or deletion assistance can be sent to mysafeplate@dnatechgroup.com.
